The Eagles added several players to their practice squad on Sunday. One of them, Matthew Tucker, who led the NFL with four rushing touchdowns during the preseason. Tucker carried the ball 24 times for 125 yards averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Surprising enough, the Eagles elected not to sign Henry Josey, who led the NFl with 6.9 yards per carry during the preseason. Josey, who was an undrafted rookie from Missouri did end up signing with the Jaguars’ practice squad.
After drawing compliments from the Eagles coaching staff throughout camp, it was quite a surprise to see that the Eagles opted not to sign Ifeanyi Momah, a 6’7″ wide reciever who seemed to be making a good impression on those around him. In addition to the signing of Tucker to the practice squad, the Eagles also signed 7 other players with him, see them below.
OL Josh Andrews
OT Kevin Graf
DT Wade Keliikipi
S Ed Reynolds II
LB Emmanuel Acho
WR Will Murphy
WR Quron Pratt
With the recent changes to the practice squad size being increased to 10 (up from 8) the Eagles have only two spots available now with which to work with.
Three former Eagles also signed with other teams including: NT Damion Square – Chiefs, WR Damaris Johnson – Texans, and DL Alejandro Villanueva – Steelers.
